Re: 36th Field Artillery, 155mm Long Tom, North Africa, Italy
I am trying to find out the history of the 36th Field Artillery. My father and uncle were
in this unit. I know that it was at Ft. Bragg prior to WWII. I have their book dated 1941.
I know it was part of the II corp in North Africa, and that is about it. My uncle,
Edkar P. Cowan was with them till he returned home in 1945.
I was with the 36th FA from Ft. Bragg, England, Gibraltar, N. Africa, Sicily, Salerno, Anzio,
S. France, Germany, Belgium.
my daddy was with the 36th he did his basic training at fort bragg he went in 9 days before
pearl harbor and stayed till the war was over i will find out if he knows your uncle edkar p cowan
my dads name is jack holland if he knows your uncle i will let you know
