Clean-up of super-scenario (WWII)
1) All Vichy french cities set as captured from Free France
2) Some cities in America given to Australia returned to correct owners
3) Grammar fixes in North Africa (~30 city names)
4) Tibet set as neutral country
5) Historical roads in Somali, Ghana, Ivory Coast

Further superscenario clean-up:
1) Kergelen and Karaginsky islands added
2) Extensive fixes of coastlines and archipelagos in Indian and Pacific oceans
3) Added airbase on Minamitorishima.
4) Grammar (~15 cities in Europe and Africa)
5) Sahara desert expanded to actual limits
6) Slovaks now own their cities and can create new units (revised because of high level of Slovakian-German cooperation in 1941)

One more super-scenario 1941-1945 incremental fix:
1) Fixed road networks in Korea, Canada, USSR, France according to historical roads
2) Izu and Bonin archipelagos fix, also minor islands in Japan sea added to map
3) Comprehensively added airbases in Canada, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Australia. Australia cities and airbases network has now much better depth inland, therefore seaborne invasion will be extremely difficult. Answers anomaly of Trurle easily capturing Australia.
4) Added training aircraft to air inventory of British Commonwealth - roughly according to number of flight schools
5) General inventory fix to reduce an inventory in slow storage - to alleviate known AI bug with deadlock of unit re-fit.
6) Fixed human/horses reserves, many small adjustments, 3 large: a) 4.5mln of Japanese elite - according to actual army rotation and training practices 1937-1941. b) Increase of manpower of Netherlands to account for Indonesia people. c) Increase British manpower from 7 to 17 mln - to include mostly Burma, Egypt and Sudan people. It answers anomaly of Darth Maximus defeating England improbably easily..

Remaining known issues:
1) Still a lot to do with airfields
2) Need cleanup of USSR to remove small villages unfit to be supply centers
3) Need to reduce size of the ports from 200 to 50 to balance economic powers

All planned improvements of super-scenario are complete.
List of last fixes:
1) Significant changes of Middle Asia and Siberia rail networks of Soviet Union and China. Many lines built in 1945-1960 are removed, some missed lines added. Now Soviet Unions units positioning in Siberia seems plausible - they properly cover possible breakthrough directions against Japanese
2) 2nd independent mixed brigade of Japan in Baotou, and Soviet occupation (puppet state) of Xinjiang province.
3) Random (approximate) archipelagos placed by previous developers are finally removed, now strict correspondence of map to real islands.
4) Palau moved 150km to east and completely rewritten
5) Full set of USSR airfields verified, made full set of USA airfields in Alaska
6) Bratsk reservoir removed
7) Varuous islands of total area ~3000 km2 added, largest - Chatham islands.
8) Full set of Japanese airfields
9) 5 errors with fortress and city duplicates of previous version fixed

Remained to do:
1) Need to reduce port size to 50 (to Igor Kulakov)
2) Need to resolve conflict with Igor Kulakov about buggy algorithm of units refit, which is incapable to handle slow storage reserves effectively.

After resting for a while, i reviewed the super-scenario again. And performed a score of fixes:
1) Added missed islands (added some small yet strategically located isles like Pratas, Cocos Island, Bear Island, Lord Howe island, Robinson Crusoe island) and many other islands, total about 10000 km2
2) Complete rework of Iceland and Greenland. Cleaned up all USA airbases which has not started construction by 22/06/1941. Break ring road of Iceland.
3) Weakening of cities of Dutch East Indies and Denmark to meet historical records (for example - Sorong downgraded from 1st rate industrial center to village.)
4) Removed Volga and Don dams (and their reservoirs) which was not completed by 1941. Also, removed Volga-Don canal.
5) General spelling cleanup (~100 names), majority in Soviet Union

I have found some new data sources (i.e. niehorster.orbat.com site and ICAO airports catalog) and was able to perform a lot of fixes
Main areas:
1) Extensive network of airfields in New Zealand, Burma and US - about 250! airfields added, mostly in US.
2) Some minor fixes in Magadascar, Djibouti (given to Vichy France) and Martinique.
3) Proper order of battle of Burmese part of British forces, also re-wrote road network and cities of Burma, adding Burma-Chinese road - it greatly change the entire logic of Far East fighting!
4) Escort ships of New Zealand - need to install a mod to implement them.

Actually, i reached a limit of improvements possible without modding, therefore i stop posting on this thread. Future posts will be at viewtopic.php?f=2&t=625 dedicated to SOE2 modding.

Version 1.4.

My thoughts about super-scenario.

1. I don't know where my forces are. It's good to have "next unit" button but map is too big and units are too many (500-1500 mostly).
2. I don't know where enemy attacked me. It's good AI turns are fast now, but I want to know in which places fights were.
3. I don't know how many soldiers were killed. It's good to have statistics, but I need to write on paper last turn casualties to compare them with actual turn numbers. I just need "last turn losses" tables.

In short: I am totally lost strategically. I can move troops and shoot but it's just too big world for me.

Suggestions:
1. See "Last turn" casualties table.
2. Check "Last turn" attacks indicator button.

Smaller scenarios are better manageable just because of smaller maps and less units.

Version 1.4 (trurle's variant)
Human player = USA, all other = AI
One month of fighting (22.06-22.07.1941)
Here is casualties report. Human player was very idle, only sporadically acting. Nearly all casualties are made by AI.

This is to show my point of view: fighting in SOE 2 is just too lethal.
Look at German casualties: 638 thousands after one month (and 1.302 thousands of Russians).
But as far as I know real German casualties in Barbarossa 1941 were like 30 thousands dead a month.

In your example, for Germany:
1. more aggressive offensive tactics AI (and Allies, and Axis)
2. and an increase in losses due to a much more intense war on other front (west).
